Frequently asked questions
Do you charge for an inspection / estimate?
Inspections and estimates are free — our technician comes out, takes a look, and gives you the exact price before any treatment.
How soon / same day / emergency?
We can usually get a technician out quickly, often same day for urgent problems like wasps or rodents.
How much does treatment cost?
It depends on the pest and the size of the property, so the technician inspects first and gives you the exact price up front — and the inspection is free.
Do you get rid of mice / rats?
Yes — we handle rodents, including sealing up how they're getting in so it's not just a temporary fix. The technician will inspect and give you a plan and price.
Do you treat roaches / ants?
Absolutely — those are two of our most common calls. The technician will treat them the right way and go over the price up front.
Do you handle bed bugs?
We do — bed bugs take a specialized approach and sometimes more than one visit, so the technician will inspect, explain the plan, and give you the exact price. It's more common than people think, so no need to feel embarrassed.
There's a wasp or hornet nest
Please keep everyone away from the nest and don't try to knock it down — we'll send a technician to remove it safely. If anyone's ever had a serious sting reaction, keep them well clear.
Do you do termite inspections / treatment?
Yes — we do termite inspections and treatment, including reports for real-estate needs. The technician will inspect and give you the options and price.
Is the treatment safe for kids and pets?
Good question — our technicians use child- and pet-safe methods and will give you clear instructions on keeping little ones and pets off any treated area until it's dry and safe.
Do you offer recurring / prevention plans?
We do — a lot of folks go with a regular plan to stay ahead of pests through the seasons, and the technician can walk you through the options.
Will one treatment take care of it?
Some pests are handled in one visit and others, like bed bugs, need follow-ups — the technician will set honest expectations after inspecting so you know exactly what to expect.
Do you do commercial / restaurants / rentals?
Yes, we handle commercial accounts as well as homes — just tell me a little about the property and we'll get you scheduled.
Do you offer financing / payment options?
That's a good question — let me have the office confirm the current payment options and we'll go over them with you.
Do you service my area?
We're local and cover your area — I'll just grab your address and get a technician headed your way.
⚠️ Safety first
- Severe allergic reaction to a sting (trouble breathing, swelling, faint, hives spreading): This is an emergency — please call 911 right now, and if they have an epinephrine auto-injector like an EpiPen, use it. Your safety comes first; we'll take care of the nest afterward.
- Wasp/hornet nest near a doorway or high-traffic area: Please keep everyone away from the nest and don't disturb it or try to knock it down — that can provoke the whole nest. Use a different door if you can, and we'll get a technician out to handle it safely.
- Concern about pesticide around kids or pets: That's a great thing to ask about — our technician will use child- and pet-safe methods and give you clear instructions on keeping little ones and pets off any treated area until it's dry and safe.
- Fumigation / heavy treatment planned: For that kind of treatment, everyone including pets and plants needs to be out of the home for a set time — the technician will walk you through exactly what to remove and when it's safe to come back.
Know the terms
- Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
- Treating the root cause — entry points, food, nesting — with the least-toxic effective method, not just spraying.
- Exclusion
- Sealing up the gaps and entry points pests use, so they can't get back in.
- Bait
- A treatment pests carry back to the colony or nest, reaching what you can't see.
- Fumigation / tenting
- Sealing and treating a whole structure, usually for termites; everyone must vacate for a set time.
- Re-entry interval
- The time to stay off a treated area until it's dry and safe.
- Recurring / preventive plan
- Scheduled visits that keep pests from coming back over the seasons.
