Frequently asked questions
Do you charge for an estimate?
Estimates are completely free — our carpenter comes out, takes a look, and gives you the exact price before any work is done.
How much do you charge?
It depends on the size of the job and the materials, so the carpenter looks at it and gives you the exact price up front — and the estimate is free.
How soon can you come?
We can usually get a carpenter out to look pretty quickly, and if it's something unsafe like a deck or railing we'll do our best to prioritize it.
Do you build or repair decks?
Yes, we build and repair decks — if it feels soft or wobbly please stay off it, and we'll get a carpenter out to inspect and quote it free.

⚠️ Safety first
- A deck that feels unstable, sagging, or rotted: Please keep everyone off that deck for now — a deck that's soft or wobbly can give way, and those failures happen fast. We'll get a carpenter out to inspect it and tell you what it needs.
- A loose or rotted railing or stairs: Please don't lean on that railing or use those stairs until we can look at them — a failing railing can let someone fall. Use another way in if you can, and we'll get out to make it safe.
- A structural post, beam, or floor sagging noticeably: If something structural is sagging, it's best to keep weight and people away from that area until a carpenter can assess it safely. We'll get someone out to take a look.
- Exposed nails, broken boards, or a trip hazard where kids play: Until we fix it, try to keep kids and pets away from the broken boards or exposed nails so nobody gets hurt, and we'll get a carpenter out to repair it.

- Wood treated to resist rot and insects, used outdoors and near the ground.
- Trim / molding
